In today's fast-paced digital world, it's more important than ever for our kids to understand how to navigate the internet safely and responsibly. That's why Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia in collaboration with the CyHub Armenia - EIF Cybersecurity Initiative, have developed the comprehensive and short-term "Cyber Hygiene for Schoolchildren" course, designed to equip 10-18 year olds with fundamental cybersecurity knowledge and practical skills.

What will they learn?

How the Digital World Works: We'll learn about how the internet works, look inside computers and networks, and even talk about where the technology we use every day came from. Plus, we'll explain why and how cyberattacks happen, and what can happen to people and groups because of them. This helps them understand why being safe online is important!

Learning to Stay Safe: This is where they'll learn what to do! We'll talk about the real dangers online and teach them exactly how to keep their personal information safe. We'll also show them the interesting (and ethical!) side of hacking and how to find information using what's out in the open (it's like being a digital detective!). We'll do lots of hands-on things to help them feel sure of themselves and stay aware online.

Why is this course important for schoolchildren?

Let's face it, the online threats our kids face are getting smarter and more common. Instead of trying to keep them off the internet (which isn't really realistic!), we believe in empowering them with the knowledge and skills they need to protect themselves. Think of it as giving them the tools to stay safe in the digital world, just like we teach them to cross the street safely.

By joining the "Cyber Hygiene for Schoolchildren" course, your child will learn how to:

  • Shield themselves from cyber threats.
  • Understand how online dangers actually work.
  • Develop those crucial "thinking skills" for the digital age.
  • Feel confident and safe navigating the online world.
